What are the best Nintendo DS Lite games?

I’m getting a DS Lite game system today, and I want to know what games to buy. I’m buying the Mario games, so I like stuff like that. I don’t like the dungeons and vampires and zombie kind of games.

Personally I think Kirby Super Star Ultra is just pure awesome. It comes out as very cute and stuff, but it’s pretty HARDCORE(lol). Its an action/adventure/platforming game with a bunch of kirby games in it! (its a remake of an snes game).

Hockey Game wise i do believe there is a game called backyard hockey ds or something. If you check on the yahoo search engine it should come up. also check 1up.com or egm or gameinformer magazines or ign.com to look up games and their reviews based on how good they are. keep in check though that those are the other opinions of different people…so the games you want could be totally awesome to you but horrible to others(darn them). so if you want to see gameplay videos go on youtube.com(obvious one) or go to gamevideos.com or check out online game reviews by ign or someone. The Nintendo DS itself is a fantastic game systems. But add a R4 DS card to the mix, and a bunch of homebrew programmers, and you a portable console.

1. Warhawk DS – Classic Shooter

Warhawk DS is a game based on much earlier put the C64 in 1986, and is more of a re-imagined a remake. One thing that was intended to retain a feeling of "old school" gaming, and this is hopefully something has been achieved. Like the old school style shoot em up games? A bit like playing games on your iPod Touch, you simply move your DS to aim and move the marble as much as me. Not to mention has a skybox to simulate a degree 360 envirnment and comes packed with 25 levels, a different environment and progressive difficulty.
