Will Best Buy exchange my Xbox 360 for PS3?
Hi guys I just bought an xbox 360 from best buy like 2 weeks ago so definitely under 30 days. It’s been overheating alot and once after 4 hours of gears of war 2 it gave me 2 red rings. I had to let it cool off for a while and it worked fine after but still…..4 hours. So i was wondering if best buy would exchange it for a ps3? I regret buying this white little time bomb and I am starting to like those ps3 exclusives. It is still under 30 days of purchase. Thank you!!!

Repair your Xbox 360 is really not difficult if you have some basic tools and have a little patience. First let me say if your console is still under warranty do not open the unit up. Under penalty of cancellation of your warranty.
There is nothing worse than buying the latest game and not be able to play. If your Xbox console has stopped working. You can refer to Microsoft and wait forever, or you can learn to maintain and repair it yourself. Internally, it is very similar to your personal computer.
The first step in repairing it is obtained opened without damaging the case. First, you want to have a towel or blanket on your work surface.
Then you must remove the cover. There are locks on the ends of the internal façade. You can not see outside. Ask your console flat, pressing the ends of your faceplate and pull forward. It will Pop Off.
Once the façade was removed, you can remove the side panels. To release tabs, add a layer thin screwdriver or awl into round holes on each side of the box blank and press gently. Be careful not to break them.
You will now be able to see the metal chassis inside. You can now delete the bottom of your device. Apply a light pressure with a flathead screwdriver to release the tabs on the front and back. You'll need to insert the screwdriver between the white panels to detach tabs back.
You can now remove the top. At this point, you will need a Torx screwdriver. If you do not You can buy a cheap set at your local hardware store. Do not use a regular flat head or Phillips, you may damage Torx screws.
Remove the 6 torx screws near the corners and center of the chassis. Remember that the longer come.
At this stage, you can leave the DVD and you will find the processor below. You now have access to repair the internal components.
