MADCATZ Xbox 360 Game Pad $19.99 Officially licensed by Microsoft, the Mad Catz Xbox 360 is the superior controller for the console. From the more ergonomically designed shape, to the more intuitive control placement and the injected rubber grips for comfort, it is clear that Mad Catz built these controllers with the gamer in mind. The controls are laid out in a familiar “cross” pattern that reduces the period of adjustment needed when moving between game consoles. Rather than a rounded surface, the controller’s upper surface is flatter which puts the controls within easy reach. The analog thumbsticks are slimmer with a more arcade-like feel and the action buttons are more responsive. A major improvement is the location of the trigger and shoulder buttons. The chance of mistakenly hitting the wrong button is reduced with the triggers located farther back and further away from the shoulder buttons. The improved trigger action makes them more than just another pair of buttons – they feel like a trigger should. The analog invert switch which reverses the action on the right stick lets you change your game play on the fly. Backed by Mad Catz’ five year warranty, this is the Xbox 360 controller by which all others are compared. Type: Controllers Features: Official licensed Mad Catz product Analog triggers, & joysticks Features vibration feedback technology PC USB compatible Mad Catz Xbox 360 GamePad is officially licensed by Microsoft for use on the Xbox 360 gaming console. Double Dragon (Ws) $9.98 … |
Over the next 18 months the 3 giants of the game console competing in stores and homes across Europe, America and Asia for the title of world's largest game console. The stakes are high in this business for several billion dollars, not only for console sales, but sales games that go along side it. Since announcing the launch of all 3 consoles in May at the E3 conference in Los Angeles. The 3 combatants have been vying for the millions of column inches have been written about the Next Generation consoles. Each press release has been hotly followed by another statement Press the rival company so that the extraction of facts from all the hype was almost impossible. At press conferences to launch Microsoft boasted that the Xbox 360 could do 9-billion-dot-product operations per second. Sony then came out and said that the PS3 could do 51-billion-dot-product operations per second however Sony had combined the CPU and the number of GPU performance while Microsoft reported its CPU performance number. When the consumer faces this kind of advertising Blizzard, you should not believe anything until you can verify the facts for you.
So what do we know?
Well for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 from Sony, we have many lists and material specifications that reality does not mean not much in isolation. The main thing that need concern us are the processor speeds and they are both reported as 3.2 GHz The only time the equipment is to mean anything is when it comes to run them side by side and then if experience is any thing going around the difference in real life performance will not be noticeable and will be used only by news services for trouble.
Though all press releases and information that has been spit headquarters of Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo we actually know very little facts.
We know that in all likelihood the Xbox 360 will be on shelves in time for Christmas, Amazon are currently in pre-delivery orders and are quoting a release date of November 28. Prices were set at $ 299 for the core system and $ 399 for the Xbox 360, the difference being that the base system does not the external hard drive required to save games and download new content or headset required for online play on Xbox Live! Why 2 prices? and everything why a version that does not get included? This is much like a product of the marketing department trying to get a product to the historically under important level of $ 300 more than anything and this may turn against them in the long term.
Next to hit the shelves will be Sony's Playstation 3 supposedly in spring next year, once again we have very few facts to go on, Sony are continually releasing press releases and mentioning in public that the price will be high and the figure of $ 500 was raised, but many industry experts suspect that this is a ploy so that when they have issued $ 300 or $ 350, it will look like a bargain. The final console to hit the shelves will be the Nintendo Revolution some time late 2006 and 2007. Since the launch "at E3 this year, very little has been said about it by Nintendo. It seems at this moment" Launch "was just a way to divert some of the publicity away from Microsoft and Sony.
One thing is certain, if Microsoft can get the Xbox 360 on shelves before Christmas, it will be this year's best-selling Christmas gift. So, until you get your hands on a console …. Question Everything
