It recently struck me when talking to friends that few people know that the Nintendo Wii is backward compatible with the Gamecube, and even includes connectivity for Game Boy Advance. Nintendo Wii Backwards Compatibility is not all plain sailing though, as explained in this article.
When Nintendo Wii has been presented, one major advantage of the console for many gamers is the fact that he can play Nintendo games GameCube too. With the ability to back, you can use all GameCube games and accessories on the Nintendo Wii. However, there are some slight problems you have to take into account.
Potential problems to play GameCube games on Wii
The main drawback that comes with GameCube games on the Wii is that you can always save your game. So you could be really good on a game but you can not save it so you lose everything you came to do. This is particularly a problem with adventure-style games that take a long time to complete. If you want to be able to save your part, you can always purchase a Nintendo GameCube memory card. This should save you all GameCube games on your Wii.
