Sales for the Nintendo Wii have exploded since 2006 when it was released and they do not seem to be slowing. In fact, in many parts of the world, is still more demand for them than the supply. In areas where they have not yet been made public that people are paying for them on the black market. Many people in Canada are on a waiting list to get their hands on one.
The company itself has not even imagine it is as popular as it is. Although they provided being highly successful, they also knew they had some stiff competition from both the Xbox and Playstation 3. However, there are many advantages that the Nintendo Wii offers than those who do not. The fact that anyone from the age 3 to 105 have played the game successfully really says a lot about the universal use of it.
Even if Nintendo does not need her many celebrities and professionals around the world have admitted to playing the Wii. Some of them do not look like Queen Elizabeth II. Others include tennis pro Serena Williams, writer and film director Steven Spielberg and comedian Conan O'Brien.
Some believe that Nintendo was not confident at all with the Wii. They assume that the reason they have limited distribution at first. This was an initiative Intelligent but if there were unforeseen problems. They do not want a mass recall on their hands after all the money they had invested in these game systems.
Others think it was a powerful marketing strategy. After all, the demand for a product always seems to increase when food is not readily available. In releasing a fixed number at a time when really the buzz going for them. But with the frenzy that took place in late December you would have thought there were only a handful of them being released at some point.
Therefore, it may surprise to discover there were 1.8 million of them being released each month. With presales in the U.S. which took place in November of 2006 where people can order them in advance if there was a backlog the beginning.
More than 28 million homes and businesses around the world now have a Nintendo Wii. There is no doubt that it will continue to be a very successful product. You can be sure that Nintendo will not stop there either. They will continue to add new features and make changes. They know that their competitors are close on their heels and they will not be removed from their seat at the top of the mountain.
A feature you will see on the road is the Nintendo Wii available in different colors. It was available only in white so far. However, in next few years you'll see it also in black, lime green, silver, and bright red gloss. These colors were to be part of the first release. However, Nintendo has decided not to do so because of the huge demand for gaming systems. They wanted to focus on meeting the demand rather than color specifications.
Over there were many reactions from consumers regarding the ability to play DVDs on Wii. It is in the works to release and the updated version on the road that will play DVD's and Blu-Ray. This project should be launched in 2008 but was reset to 2010. This way they can continue to work to meet demand for the current model is there.
To their credit, Nintendo has continued to make the Wii very affordable. In general, you can get the game console for about $ 250. With strong demand, but they could easily be making more profits than they are. However, their goal is to provide a way for families to enjoy. They certainly continue to do in every way possible.
